Ledger Stax
The most premium hardware signer on the market
Our review
The Stax is Ledger's showcase device with a curved E Ink screen that runs all the way to the edge. Security-wise it is identical to the Flex (same chip, same OS), so the difference is ergonomics and prestige. If you already have a Flex or Nano S Plus for everyday use, the Stax rarely earns its keep. On the other hand, it is hands-down the nicest device for larger, less frequent transactions.
Best for: Hodlers with larger portfolios who want the biggest, most legible display
Pros
- Largest screen on the market, designed by Tony Fadell (iPod)
- Magnetically stackable if you own several
- Wireless Qi charging, NFC and Bluetooth
- Includes the Recovery Key and a Magnet Shell
Cons
- Price is not for beginners
- Closed source firmware
- Larger and not really a pocket device
