Ledger
Ledger Flex
E Ink touchscreen for daily use without the premium price tag
Our review
The Flex is Ledger's new mainstream model for active users. The E Ink screen draws no power at rest, and you see the entire receive address in one view, which removes a major source of mistakes. Versus the Stax there is no wireless charging and a slightly smaller screen, but you also save 150 EUR.
Best for: The user who reaches for their wallet often and wants to read the whole transaction on screen
Pros
- Large E Ink display makes Clear Signing far more legible
- Includes the Ledger Recovery Key (NFC backup) in the box
- Bluetooth, NFC and USB-C, three ways to connect
- CC EAL6+ chip, same class as the premium models
Cons
- Markedly more expensive than the Nano line
- Closed source firmware
- Touchscreen is grayscale, not color
